Samsung has announced the durable Samsung B2100 Xplorer with outdoor features and specifications that make it great for adventurers. The Xplorer has support for tri-band GSM (850/900/1900MHz) along with support for EDGE data connectivity.
The B2100 meets Military Standard 810F compliance for durability, and has a comfortable grip atop an anti-shock urethane material that keeps well in tough environments. It can be submersed in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes, and at only 0.7-inches thick, it is the thinnest submersible phone on the market.
The Samsung Xplorer has powerful external speakers, noise cancellation technology, and an LED flash light for those tough nights. While users are out in the wilderness, they can shoot photos or video with the phone's 1.3 megapixel camera, and bring their music on an external microSD card. And when they're not too far from civilization, they can listen to the airwaves with the phone's integrated FM radio.
The Samsung B2100 Xplorer will be available in Germany and other European countries in April. Pricing and exact availability have not been announced.
